Our board of directors

Elm has a dedicated and experienced board of directors in place, including three Non-Executive Directors, who are responsible for controlling the direction of the business and reporting on all activity to Elm’s shareholders.

Stephen Daniels Stephen Daniels Managing Director

Stephen began his career at Accenture Corporation before joining the Asset Management division of Close Brothers Group plc in 2007. Stephen is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and holds an MBA from Durham University.

Edward Mole Edward Mole Finance Director

A Chartered Certified Accountant, Edward has over 11 years’ experience in Financial Services. Edward began his career within the Asset Management division of Close Brothers Group plc, where he took on several roles assisting asset backed trading businesses.

Benjamin Philips Benjamin Phillips Lending Director

Benjamin has over ten years’ experience in the provision of Secured Finance to Real-Estate Developers and Investors, during his tenure at at Pluto Finance, Bank Leumi (UK) plc and Bank of Ireland. Benjamin holds a BSc in Investment & Finance in Property from the University of Reading.

Roger Skeldon Roger Skeldon Commercial Director

Roger has over 10 years’ experience in Accounting, Finance and Investment. Previously, Roger was an Assistant Director at Close Brothers Group plc's Asset Management division, with responsibilities across a number of Real-Estate backed Investment Funds. Roger holds a BA in Business and Financial Economics from Staffordshire University and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Frank Scanlon Non-Executive Director

Frank has over 50 years of experience in residential property, and previously held the role of managing director for the North London division of Bellway Homes.

Gordon Clements Non-Executive Director

Gordon has over 40 years of experience in the banking and financial services sector and has previously held director positions with Lloyds Banking Group and Santander.

Nigel Fee Non-Executive Director

Nigel was previously the Managing Director of Westbury Homes PLC and oversaw the sale of the business to Persimmon PLC for £643 million in 2006.
